I made “veggie pie like Nana” for my kids yesterday. After work. I thought it might be one of those times where the thing I make isn’t done in time for dinner. (🤷🏼♀️ It happens!) ![]()

But, it wasn’t. And, my kids are SO KIND when I try to make something new. ![]()

A few weeks ago I tried to make spinach pies (calzones). I usually “make” those by running into the bakery and leaving with a box. ![]()

What I made looked NOTHING like what comes out of that box. My kids didn’t even flinch. My oldest said, “Mom, I can’t believe you MADE this!!” And together with his brother, gobbled it up.![]()

Last night with the half burnt pie? Same thing. Raced to their chairs. “Oohs!” And, “ahhhs!!” ![]()

“It’s tastes JUST like Nana’s!” (Which it did NOT😂)![]()

Sometimes dinner time drives me to open a bottle of wine, or chase the kids around with their plates, or threaten crazy things.![]()

But they really are the sweetest, kindest my loving little maniacs ever. Gush over. ![]()
