Let’s skip to the good part!! Every problem feels END OF THE WORLD big a few weeks before school starts. Too many vacancies. That damn new curriculum. The construction that didn’t quite get finished. Ugh?!?!Maybe even a new administrator or bell schedule. Or BOTH.My rational brain knows that two weeks in, it’ll feel like I never left. It’ll all be FINE. Could someone PLEASE tell my 2AM brain that?!?!#backtoschoolinsomnia BackToSchoolStress #anxiousteacher #TeacherProblems #BackToSchool #TeacherStress #teacherlife #teachgram #ITeachToo #teachersofthegram #teachertruth #teachertruths ... I always read reviews before I go someplace new. Museums, attractions, theme parks… I want to know what to bring that I may not have considered… I want to know if I can pack snacks, if reentry is allowed. You know, parent survival stuff. Well, I am starting a new trend. ♥️ From this day forth, all reviews I write will detail if access to the exit is blocked by a gift shop. If you are forced to escort small, impulsive exhausted humans through a gift shop AFTER finally convincing them to leave an awesome place… if an establishment chooses THAT as their peak marketing opportunity for plastic crap at exhorbitant prices, I promise it will appear in my review. ✏️ I’ll be too beat down to write it that day. But, I’ll write it. I’ll write it so all the other parents know before they go. And I’ll write it so the establishments with those kinds of ethics realize that their customers… those sweaty, beat down post-park day shadows of the parents they were 10 hours earlier… rehydrate. Eventually, they get home and realize what happened. And, if their kids play nicely for a few minutes (maybe with that very gift shop garbage), they can take action. What happened to them doesn’t have to happen to another parent! (And also, doesn’t it seem like it should be some kind of illegal to have exactly one exit? Like- the ONLY way out is through that gift shop? It feels really wrong.)#momlife #teachermomlife #legodiscoverycenter #momproblems #momofboys #kidswhoshop #familyouting #momrage #momrage #raisingkidspositively #raisingkidswithadhd #frugalmom #frugalmomma #familyrules #themeparks #parentingtruth #momtruths #momhack ... • Alicia Sullivan on Instagram: "Middle school students are special! Get class started quickly and with their help, by meeting their unique needs! They need predictability and structure, but also some agency… and they don’t want to be surprised by any unexpected content that might lead them to feel anxious around their peers. Okay?? Got that?? Or, you could try these Daily ELA Warm Ups that do all that… and more!! Link in bio or search my Write Solutions TPT store! #middleschoolela #middlesch
